The Steve O’Dea and Matt Hoysted stable enjoyed some early success on Doomben 10,000 day when GEE TEE TEE unleashed a powerful sprint in the 1100m Class 6 Handicap.

Starting a warm favourite, GEE TEE TEE came with a strong run down the middle of the track to score by 2.8 lengths, providing rider Ben Thompson with the first leg of a winning treble.

It was a welcome change of fortunes for the son of WRITTEN TYCOON after only getting clear air late when third over the same course and distance last month.

GEE TEE TEE is building an imposing record with five wins and five placings from 13 starts. His consistency is set to be rewarded with a maiden stakes start over the winter carnival, potentially the Listed Hinkler Handicap (1200m) on Stradbroke day at Eagle Farm on June 12.

The 5YO gelding is owned by Gino Loiero who coincidentally part-owns EDUARDO, who triumphed in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 later in the meeting.
