D'Harmony Makes it Two in a Row

Nov 17, 2016

Five year old gelding D'Harmony (Denman x Harmony Hall (NZ)) made it two in a row last night when winning in impressive fashion at the Sunshine Coast. Running over 1200m in the Stanley River Thoroughbreds Handicap, Paul Hammersley took the ride again and put D'Harmony in the perfect position to settle fifth in the running. He showed his turn of foot on the straight, accelerating to catch the leaders and beat Baker Boy by 1.8L with a further 2L back to Reddamour in third.

Owned by a group of Lavin Park owners, D'Harmony transferred to Steve O'Dea halfway through the year and has spent time training at the Aquis Farm private training facility at Canungra on the Gold Coast Hinterland. The Denman gelding has now had three starts for O'Dea, and has won two of them, both by impressive margins. D'Harmony is lightly raced with only eight starts to date, thus O'Dea plans to run him through his classes and let the gelding learn his trade.
