Cash Dash Salutes

Jul 19, 2016

Promising young colt Cash Dash lived up to his early promise by scoring a nice win in the QTIS two year old Handicap at Eagle Farm two weeks ago.  Having his first start for new trainer Steven O'Dea, the two year old had a lot of expectations placed on him early after winning his first ever barrier trial by nine lengths.

He had one race start where he finished unplaced and he was then sent to the paddock for a lengthy spell.  He joined the O'Dea camp in April and his new trainer could not have been happier with him leading into his first up run.  Jumping from barrier two, he settled in the back half of the small field and once he got clear in the straight he let down strongly to score by a length over the race favourite Downloading.

He has come on well since the win and will line up this Sunday at the Sunshine Coast in the two year old Handicap over 1200m.
