Talented mare Beatniks showed a nice return to form last Sunday, with a win in the Class Three Plate over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast.

Ridden by Tim Bell, Beatniks settled towards the rear of the field and enjoyed a nice run.  Bell was able to track the favourite, Three Bears Please, into the race and the five year old finished off strongly to pull away and score by a length and a half.

It was win number three for Beatniks and it took her prizemoney tally to $70,000.  Trainer Steven O'Dea is undecided where he will head with her next but will look to a race where she can get some weight relief, as she has carried upwards of 57kg's in her past three starts.
