Pasquinel records win number five

May 25, 2015

A few early morning beach trips saw a return to form by five year old gelding Pasquinel.

Having his forth start in this preparation, Pasquinel had been unplaced leading into his run at Ipswich a fortnight ago.  Trainer Steven O'Dea decided to take him down to Nudgee Beach, hoping a change in his routine would see him return to his best and the move paid off.

Lining up in the Class 4 Hanidcap over 1690m, Pasquinel jumped away nicely from barrier three and was given a perfect run in transit by jockey Tim Bell.  Bell had him positioned in forth spot and allowed him to stride forward approaching the turn, he was too strong in the straight and pulled away to score by two lengths.

It was win number five for the son of Red Dazzler, who has now collected just under $80,000 in prizemoney.
