Beau Jet recorded his first Metropolitan win over the weekend, with a solid victory in the QTIS three year old Handicap over 1110m at Doomben.

The Jet Spur gelding was slow out of the barriers and settled towards the rear of the field but produced a strong finish to run down race favourite I Am Boss.

A winner at his first two outings, Beau Jet was luckless last start when he was posted wide and had to do plenty of work.  Trainer Steven O'Dea believed the Jet Spur gelding deserved another chance at a city win, before sending him out for a well earned break and he was right

The talented three year old has now collected over $100,000 in just his four race starts.
