A Day To Remember brings up a hat-rick
Nov 06, 2014
Talented filly A Day To Remember, made it three wins from as many starts, with a solid victory in the QTIS three year old Handicap over 1350m at Doomben on Tuesday.
Despite being tardy out the barriers at her previous start, the filly jumped away on terms with the field, but jockey Tim Bell elected to go back to last in the field of six. She was still at the rear approaching the turn but proved much too good in the straight, pulling away to score easily by half a length.
The win took her total earnings to $53,700 thanks to the QTIS bonuses and it also continued the great run of the O'Dea stable, who have picked up seven QTIS three year old races over the past six weeks.
