A Win To Remember

Oct 19, 2014

A Day To Remember made it back to back wins on Saturday, with a solid victory in the Class 2 Handicap for three year olds, at the Gold Coast.

Jumping from barrier three, A Day To Remember was slow away but apprentice Luke Dittman delivered a patient ride, allowing her to settle near the rear of the field.  He bought her into the clear on the the turn and on straightening she produced an incredible turn of foot, just as she did in her debut win three weeks prior.  The winning margin was two and a half lengths and her performance was enough for race caller Steve Hawkins to declare that "she could be a superstar".

A daughter of inform sire Real Saga, A Day To Remember has now collected over $33,000 in just her two starts.  Trainer Steven O'Dea is undecided as to where she'll head next but is considering stepping her up to Metropolitan grade.
