Beau Jet makes it two from two
Oct 18, 2014
Promising youngster Beau Jet, kept his unbeaten record intact with an emphatic win in the QTIS three year old Handicap at the Sunshine Coast on Friday.
Beautifully ridden by Tim Bell, Beau Jet was back last upon jumping but rallied through to take up the box seat in the six horse field. Bell bought him to the outside in the home straight and once in the clear he pulled away to take out the 1000m event by just under three lengths.
Despite being eased down over the concluding stages, the Jet Spur gelding recorded a new class record time of 56:68, finishing only one hundredth of a second outside the track record.
Trainer Steven O'Dea will now look to stepping him up to a Saturday Metropolitan race in three weeks time.
