A drop back in class and a perfectly judged ride by jockey Tim Bell saw stakes winner Fantisha, return to the winner’s circle on Wednesday after a long absence.

After almost a year away from the racetrack the four year old was having her third start back this preparation and trainer Steven O’Dea was confident of her chances after two solid runs in listed company.

With not a lot of speed in the race, Bell positioned Fantisha closer in the run, going against her usual racing pattern, and in the straight she let down well take out Benchmark 75 Handicap.

The win was Fantisha’s third and took her prizemoney tally to just under $170,000.
