Pasquinel continues to impress

Jan 24, 2014

Consistent galloper Pasquinel made it three wins from just nine starts on Wednesday with an impressive victory in the Yellowglen Colts & Geldings Class 3 Plate at Doomben.

Jumping from barrier two, rider Kirk Matheson allowed the gelding to settle just worse than midfield as there was solid pace in the race.  On straightening Matheson pulled him to the outside and he stormed home to run down the leader and pull away to score by almost two lengths.

Bought by trainer Steven O'Dea at the Magic Millions Ready to Run sale for just $10,000 the Red Dazzler gelding has now collected over $43,000 in prizemoney and is yet to finish out of the money in all of his starts.
